Environmental Stewardship

Arch products contain certified wood harvested from forests supplying rapidly renewable materials to the glazing industry. Most Arch facilities have been upgraded to more energy-efficient glass tempering ovens along its production lines, which amounts to less embedded energy per product, an important factor in life cycle analysis of building products.

Arch also takes steps to conserve regional water supplies, by re-circulating water used as a coolant during the manufacturing process. This innovation by Arch also reduces water waste and extends the life-span of local infrastructure.

Reduced construction waste disposal:
Arch remembers to continue its environmental responsibilities even after its products leave the production facility. Wooden crating used to ship some of Arch's products are ground into mulch, diverting this normally discarded packaging material from the landfills, saving on tipping fees and providing potential LEED points.
